Roar of the Lion: Mahendra Singh Dhoni's much-awaited documentary 'ROR of the Lion' has been released on Hotstar on Wednesday. In this five-part Drama Series documentary, Dhoni gives information about the sour-sweet journey of Chennai SuperKings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the 'Rare of the Lion' directed by Kabir Khan, Dhoni seems to be talking about the golden era of his team while talking about the time when the CSK had to face a two-year suspension. During this, Dhoni has stated that CSK won the third IPL title for those fans who, despite all the ups and downs of the series, kept the team strong and stayed with it in the worst times. CSK returned last season with the tag line of 'Thirumbi vandhutenu sollu' and captured the title. This tagline means 'tell everyone we are back'

Mahe Dhoni (MS Dhoni) about his association with Chennai SuperKings (CSK), says that it was like Arrange Marriage and he did not choose his own IPL team. Dhoni considers the year 2013 to be the worst in terms of his professional cricket career, during which CSK got involved in a spot-fixing controversy, the result was that the franchise was suspended for two seasons in 2015. CSK owner N. Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan was accused of spot-fixing. Dhoni clarified that Gurunath is not the owner of the team but is the son-in-law of its owner. He said that the team was entitled to punishment but the suspension of the two seasons was a very strict decision. The other important members of the CSK team in the documentary, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Shane Watson, Mohit Sharma, and Matthew Hayden and Michael Hussey, who is coaching staff, can also look at their views.

Referring to CSK's return in 2018 after the suspension, Dhoni (MS Dhoni) said, "We were being called the Dads Army because the average age of the team was about 33 to 34 years. Capt. Cool said that at that time it was necessary for us to live up to the expectations of our bosses and fans and we were successful in doing this. Talking about the team's return, Dhoni looked very emotional. The 37-year-old Dhoni ends his conversation saying that you can not guarantee the performance but can give the efforts to be made. It is worth mentioning that the IPL starts from March 23 and the defending champions Chennai Super Kings will face Royal Challengers Bangalore, who will be in the first match of the tournament, Virat Kohli.
