As many as 200 people, including citizens of more than ten countries, have been taken to different hospitals here from the Markaz of Tablighi Jamaat in Nizamuddin, South East Delhi, amidst growing threats of corona infection. Those who have been taken for investigation include around 100 foreign nationals from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, England, and China.
On Sunday, a 64-year-old man from Tamil Nadu was killed who was staying in Markaz. However, the investigation report of the deceased has not been received yet. As the news came out that some people have been found corona positive in the Nizamuddin area, after that the team of the Health Department of Delhi also reached there. After this incident, the police started investigating.
Markaz spokesperson said - many people had cold and fever
A local resident of Nizamuddin said that there were about 600 people in Markaz, out of which 200 people have been admitted to different hospitals for corona infection screening and the area around Markaz has been completely sealed.
Meanwhile, Nizamuddin Markaz spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Shoaib said, "Yesterday we gave the administration a list of names that had health problems, such as cold or fever." Some people have been admitted to the hospital-based on age and travel history. We do not have any corona confirmed cases yet.
Police are patrolling drone in the area
Police are monitoring the entire area with a drone. The police are also constantly patrolling, to ensure that no one is moving outside.
