    Tata Sons has also announced an additional Rs 1000 crore. In this way, a total of Rs 1500 crore is being contributed by the Tata group to fight this epidemic.

    Ratan Tata has tweeted, "COVID 19 crisis is one of the toughest challenges in this race. Tata group companies have always stood with the nation's need at such a time. The country needs us more at this time."

    Significantly, the US also announced on Friday an additional financial aid of $ 174 million to 64 countries, including India, to help combat the coronavirus global epidemic. Out of this amount, 29 lakh dollars will be given to India as help.
     This is in addition to the $ 100 million announced by the US in February. The new amount announced at present is part of a larger US global response package from various departments and agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). 
    This financial support is for the 64 highest-risk countries facing the threat of a global pandemic.
