Section 144 of CrPC will be imposed in Delhi with effect from 9 pm on 22 March to 12 midnight of 31 March
In wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak, Section 144 of CrPC to be imposed in Delhi with effect from 9 pm on 22 March 22 to 12 midnight of 31 March, according to Delhi Police.
“Delhi government is marking all homes with persons advised to home quarantine. I appeal to all not to stigmatize such families. Please be empathetic and supportive of them. The marking is aimed only at cautioning others for their own safety," Kejriwal tweeted.
India is currently observing 'Janta Curfew' on Sunday as appealed by prime minister Narendra Modi. The 14-hour-long nationwide Janta curfew began today at 7 am and will continue till 9 pm today.

Earlier, at a press conference held digitally on Saturday, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said that no gathering with more than five people will be allowed. The move comes to contain a coronavirus outbreak in the national capital.
Moreover, as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Kejriwal also announced that all press conferences of the Delhi government will be conducted digitally.
"All Delhi government press conferences will be conducted digitally now. It's very important that all journalists, who are at the forefront of our battle against Corona, also protect themselves as they are in a high exposure environment," Kejriwal tweeted.
50% buses won't ply on Delhi roads during Janta curfew, said the CM. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urged citizens to follow the concept of 'Janta Curfew' on March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm. He said that no one apart from those involved with essential services is supposed to venture out of their homes.
"Extremely concerned about daily wagers, laborers amid coronavirus crisis; don't want anyone to sleep on an empty stomach," said Kejriwal.
Pension for elderly, widows, specially-abled being doubled given coronavirus outbreak, said CM.
"Food to be provided for the homeless in Delhi's night shelters. 72 lakh people in Delhi get ration from fair price shops. Ration per person being increased by 50 pc, will be provided free," Kejriwal further said.
