Ugadi 2020: Ugadi festival is celebrated on Pratipada date of Chaitra Shukla. This festival is mainly celebrated in the southern states of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. This date has been given great importance in the scriptures.
According to the scriptures, the coronation and the golden age of Lord Rama began on this day. Therefore, the importance of this day has been described. On this date, the festival of Goddess worship begins with Chaitra Navratra.

Shri Ram was crowned
This year the Ugadi festival is on 25 March Wednesday. On this day special pujas are offered in temples in some states of South India and many measures are taken to please the Gods and Goddesses.
Maharaj Yudhishthira was also crowned on the day of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada and the Hindu New Year Vikram Samvat started on this day. Maharaj Vikramaditya of Ujjain started the Vikram Samvat to commemorate the victory over the Shakas.
The Ugadi festival is celebrated as a celebration of this victory. In Karnataka and Maharashtra, this day is celebrated as Gudi Padwa.
Worship Brahma
On the day of Ugadi, get up in the Brahma Muhurta and retire from routine work and take bath with boiled and fragrant substances and wear clean clothes.
Now, remember Brahma, the creator of the world, with flowers, rice, water in hand. Make a rangoli or swastika at the entrance of the house. It is believed that this brings positive energy to the home.
To worship Brahmaji, first, install the idol of Brahmaji on a checkpoint. Offer Brahmaji's roli, sandalwood, Akshat, turmeric, rosemary, abir, gulal, fragrant flowers, and clothes. Offer Ritufal, sweetmeat, Panchameva, Panchamrit. Light a lamp and fragrant incense sticks. On this day special dishes like Bobbatlu, Pulihora are made.
