The release of all Bollywood films has been postponed in the lockdown caused by Corona. All theaters across the country are closed, so even finished films cannot be released. At present, there is no improvement in the situation. Corona cases continue to grow. In such a situation, manufacturers are suffering heavy losses. According to the reports, the producers are now planning to release the films on the OTT platform.
From Akshay Kumar's Lakshmi Bomb to Amitabh Bachchan's Gulabo Sitabho, it may be released on OTT. While the release dates for some films have been officially announced, some producers are currently waiting for the deal to be finalized.
Recently, Salman Khan's manager said that, the idea of releasing the film on the OTT platform can be thought of. Once the film is completed and we understand the situation, only then will we take a decision. There is no amount in our mind yet.
Bollywood films will be released on OTT platform-
Laxmi bomb
Akshay Kumar's film Lakshmi Bomb was scheduled to release on Eid. Post-production of the film is currently underway. It is in the news that the film will now be released on Disney + Hotstar.
Gulabo Sitabo
Amitabh Bachchan- Ayushman Khurana's film Gulabo Sitabow was scheduled to release in April. The film will now be released on Amazon Prime Video.
Gunjan Saxena
Jahnavi Kapoor's film 'Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl' was also scheduled to release in April. The release of the film was eagerly awaited. But if sources are to be believed, the film will now be released on Netflix.
Jhund
Amitabh Bachchan's film Jhund was scheduled to release on 8 May. Directed by Nagraj Manjule, the film was much awaited. The film can now be released on Netflix.
Ludo, Shakuntala Devi
At the same time, Anurag Basu's Ludo may be released on Netflix and Shakuntala Devi starring Vidya Balan on Amazon Prime Video.
Ghoomketu
The release of Nawazuddin Siddiqui's film "Ghoomketu" has been announced. The film will be released on 22 May on the OTT platform Zee 5. Directed by Pushpendra Nath Mishra, the film is produced by Phantom Films and Sony Pictures.
