The reason for this was the decision to close theaters in many states of the country. However, when the Maharashtra government issued an order to open theaters recently, the makers also changed their mind and now the film will be released on November 15. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the romantic-comedy drama stars Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Sheikh in the lead roles. The special thing is that Sunday is the 15th of November. Bollywood films are usually released on Fridays.

Apart from this film, Akshay Kumar's Lakshmi is being released on Disney Plus Hotstar today (9 November) at 7.5 pm. However, Lakshmi will come to theaters in some of the Overseas countries. According to the film Critic Taran Adarsh, Lakshmi is released on 9 November in the UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Mauritius, while in Thailand will be released on 12 November and South Africa on 13 November. Lakshmi directed by Raghav Lawrence is a horror-comedy film with Kiara Advani in the lead role with Akshay Kumar. It is a remake of the Tamil film Muni 2- Kanchana. Akshay will also be seen as a transgender in the film.

There were reports that Lakshmi might be released on a few single screens on Diwali, but on Monday, the makers made it clear that the film will only come to OTT in India.

According to Taran Adarsh, the films which are being released include Veer Zara, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Ek Tha Tiger, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Sultan and Mardani. All these films are being re-released under the ongoing celebration to mark 50 years of Yash Raj Films.
