Startup India, WhatsApp Grand Challenge Social media platform Whatsapp has organized a contest in India, under which the winners will be given a total of 1.8 crore rupees.

Over the past few years, Whtas App is stepping up its movements more than a chat messaging service. This platform is providing a local service network in the form of WhatsApp Group. These apps have also been a platform for many growing businesses, as well as helping new startups move forward. For this, WhatsApp, Appe launched its own separate business app, which has a lot of business tools. Now, the company has come up with content that will help in promoting India.

Whatsapp has launched the 'Startup India Whatsapp Grand Challenge' in India. This Contest has been organized in India to promote growth in the entrepreneur segment as well as startup. The total prize money for top 5 winners in the contest is 1.8 crore rupees. This contest is open to all entrepreneurs and invites ideas in various fields such as healthcare, rural, economy, financial and digital inclusion, education and civil security.

In a media release, WhatsApp Apps said, "Entrepreneurs with the latest ideas and such business models who solve local problems in India and make a socio-economic impact on a large scale, can apply for the contest." Registration for the contest is open till 10 March 2019.

Selection Process:

- Applications will be evaluated by an independent evaluation committee.

- Out of the selected applications 30 best ideas will be shortlisted for the next list and the next round will be converted into Top 10.

- Finally, 5 winners will be given a prize of $ 50,000 (about Rs 35.6 lakh) on May 24.
