So, if you're a first-time voter, here is a list of steps on how to vote:

The first pre-requisite to vote is your name in elector list. You can vote on condition that your name seems within the elector List (also called Electoral Roll). Voters also can see info on polling booths, contesting candidates, election dates & timings, identity cards and EVM.

The voting method at booth

1. Firstly, polling official will check your name on the elector list and check your ID proof, so don't forget to get your id proof.

3. Secondly, polling official can ink your finger, provide you with a blunder and take your signature on a register (Form 17A).

4. You will need to deposit the slip at the third polling official and show your inked finger, so proceed to the booth.
