    New Delhi: Bimal Gurung, leader of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, can return to 'Hills' on Thursday evening after nearly one and a half years. The Supreme Court had on Wednesday ordered the leaders of Roshan Giri and Bimal Gurung, Gorkha Janmukti Morcha to file a plea within four days in the Calcutta High Court for anticipatory bail in pending cases against them in West Bengal to participate in Lok Sabha elections. , After which the news of his return came a day later.

    Loksang Lama, executive president of Gurung Dal of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha said that the front leader will reach 'Hills' directly, who is likely to reach Bagdogra Airport at around 1:30 in the afternoon. According to election analysts, due to the arrival of Gurung's 'Hills', the colors of the election can change in the Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency and vote for BJP candidate Raju Singh Bista.

    Both Gurung and the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha have given their support to Bista, while the Binyam-led faction has decided to support the Trinamool Congress candidate Amar Singh Rai. The group led by Binay Tamang had expelled Gurung and his loyalists and declared himself the defender leader of 'Hills' with the help of the ruling Trinamool.

    Gurung told from an unknown place that he is very interested to return the 'Hills'. He said, 'I am excited to return to Darjeeling. Once there, I will do my best to ensure the victory of BJP candidate Bista. The people of 'Hills' have denied treachery like Tamang and Rai.'

    He said that the upcoming elections are a fight between the 'dictatorship' of the West Bengal Government and the will of the people to stand against it. Polling for Darjeeling Lok Sabha seat will be held on 18th April.
