    1. Instead of the EPFO's website

    Unified Portal, users can now see the passport book of EPF on a separate website.

    For services like transfer, though the use of unified portals can still be done. To see the PF passbook on the portal, it is important that your PF account is tagged with Universal Account Number (UAN or UAN).

    First step: The passbook of the member is available at www.epfindia.gov.in website.

    Second step: Click on the Employee button in our Services column on the PF website.

    Step 3: Click Member Passbook in the Services tab.

    It is important for your employer to have your UAN activated to see the EPF passbook. If your UAN is activated, then log in with Passbook. After this, you can check the passbook's balance

    2. Checking the PF balance via SMS

    If your UAN is registered with the EPFO, then your latest contribution and PF balance information can be received from one message. For this, you have to write and send it to 7738299899.

    EPFOHO UAN ENG The last three letters are for language. If you need information in Hindi, you can send EPFOHO UAN HIN. This service is available in English, Punjabi, Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali.

    The EPFO sends you the information of the members present with you. In this context, it is important that your UAN Bank account, PAN and PAN should be linked to AADHAR. If not, ask your employer to link it.
