Rajinikanth, the star of South Cinema, has approached the Madras High Court regarding tax waiver. Actually Madras has reached the High Court regarding the tax of his marriage hall. He has filed a petition against the demand of tax of Rs 6.5 lakhs by the Greater Chennai Corporation for his property in Chennai (Shri Raghavendra Kalyan Mandapam).

In his petition, Rajinikanth has made his point by citing the Corona period. He has said that the marriage hall has been closed since March 24 due to the corona virus lockdown. During this time no revenue was generated from there. Therefore, it is not appropriate to demand tax.
